Anti Copying In Design (ACID) is the UK’s leading membership & campaigning organisation for design & Intellectual Property (IP). They are committed to fighting design theft and lobbying Parliament for design law reform.
ACID’s key objectives are protection, deterrence and education, supporting and engaging with industry partners and stakeholders, and working towards a safer commercial trading framework to enable originators to fully exploit and maximise their IP rights.
ACID’s membership community is made up of all manner of designers, creatives and manufacturers, spanning many industry sectors. Member benefits include access to IP specialist legal affiliates for an hour’s free advice for each separate issue or subject (depending on complexity), and reduced legal fees for any action required. Members have unlimited, free use of the ACID IP Databank to store their designs, giving that all important 3rd party dated evidence audit trail. ACID’s logo is a recognised deterrent, which members are licensed to use. They also have an abundance of factsheets, a quarterly magazine featuring member stories and cutting-edge IP news, thriving social media channels and much more.
